This Aomoki Damascus kitchen knife set includes seven pieces of knives with a unique design. The structure of the material alternates multiple layers of different types of steel. These layers are bonded using the method of forge welding into a single unit (in this knife, there are 67 layers). When using, please note that the knife is very sharp and is intended for cutting food (not frozen and not suitable for chopping food). We recommend washing the knife immediately after use, drying it, and storing it in place. The advantages of knives from this series are their extraordinary sharpness and hardness (HRC60±2).

Damascus steel is produced by repeatedly folding, layering, and re-folding several strips of steel with different properties, thus creating a characteristic pattern that can have dozens to hundreds of layers. Damascus steel is long-lasting sharp and resistant due to the combination of materials with different properties.

The core steel is made from one of the highest-rated steels, VG-10. Highly abrasion-resistant stainless steel.

VG Gold 10 is commonly known as VG-10 or sometimes V-Kin-10 (kin is the abbreviation for "gold" in Japanese). VG-10 is a unique formulation of steel with a high carbon content and contains chromium, vanadium, molybdenum, and cobalt. The steel is specially designed for the highest quality knives used both in the kitchen and in the field. VG-10 is often referred to as "super steel" because it is designed to maintain sharpness and durability without becoming brittle. It is most commonly used in the production of Damascus knives. When the steel is used as a core and is layered with another type of steel, the best properties of the knives are achieved, making them both strong, hard, sufficiently flexible, and resistant to corrosion due to the combination of two types of steel.
